Co-occurrence Matrixes for the Quality Assessment of Coded Images

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2007
Intrinsic nonlinearity complicates the modeling of perceived quality of digital images, especially when using feature-based objective methods. The research described in this paper indicates that models from Computational Intelligence can predict quality and cope with multi-dimensional data characterized by complex perceptual relationships.

Co‐occurrence matrix in simulated seismic pattern inspection

SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 1989, 1989
Don and Fu (1984) had successfully inspected the metal surface using pattern classification techniques. Due to the similarity between the seismic data images and the metal surface images, several pattern classification techniques are applied to inspect he seismic patterns.

Audio Steganalysis Based on Co-occurrence Matrix and PCA

2009 International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2009
A new steganalysis scheme based on co-occurrence matrix for audio signals is proposed. The statistics features are derived from the co-occurrence matrix firstly, which are calculated from amplitude of audio signals. Then the preprocessing of principal component analysis (PCA) is used on statistics features and the support vector machine (SVM) is used ...

A Co-occurrence Matrix algorithm used for medical image

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology, 2011
Techniques of Medical Image Retrieval and Classification are used popularly in Computer-Aided Diagnosis. How to extract image features which reflect the content of an image is very important in Medical Image Retrieval and Classification. In order to solve this problem, there proposed a method using Gray-Cell difference Co-occurrence Matrix (GCCM) to ...

Dynamic textures indexing using the co-occurrence matrix features

2012 7th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI), 2012
The area of applications of dynamic texture is very wide: video surveillance, transaction systems, medical application and video synthesis. The paper presents an indexing model in large databases of dynamics texture using the co-occurrence matrix features.

Modified Color Co-occurrence Matrix for Image Retrieval

2005
Color correlogram for content-based image retrieval (CBIR) characterizes not only the color distribution of pixels, but also the spatial correlation of pairs of colors. Color not only reflects the material of surface, but also varies considerably with the change of illumination, the orientation of the surface, and the viewing geometry of the camera ...

Image Retrieval Based on Block Motif Co-Occurrence Matrix

2019 IEEE 14th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE), 2019
Motif co-occurrence matrix (MCM) is one of the commonly used image features descriptions. However, MCM has two shortcomings. One is that it doesn’t meets translation invariance, and another is that different sub-blocks can be represented by the same motif.

Image Retrieval Using Weighted Color Co-occurrence Matrix

2005
Weighted Color Co-occurrence Matrix (WCCM) is introduced as a novel feature for image retrieval. When indexing images with WCCM feature, the similarities of diagonal elements and non-diagonal elements are weighted respectively based on the Isolation Parameters of the query and prototype images. After weighting, the similarity of relevant matches to the

Steganalysis Based on Co-occurrence Matrix of Differential Image

2008 International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing, 2008
A universal steganalysis method is proposed in this paper. The forward difference is calculated in three directions, horizontal, vertical and diagonal, towards adjacent pixels to obtain three-directional differential images for a natural image. Then the differential images are thresholded with a pre-set threshold to remove the redundant information ...
