Near‐Unity Selectivity Inversion Between CO2 Electroreduction and H2 Evolution via Atomic Coordination Editing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Atomic coordination editing functions as an on/off switch that toggles single‐atom catalysts between CO2 electroreduction and hydrogen evolution. ABSTRACT Precise atomic coordination editing of single‐atom catalysts (SACs) provides an effective strategy to tune their electronic structures and catalytic selectivity. Yet, achieving near‐unity selectivity

Effect of CaO nanocatalyst on bio-oil production from algae and date seeds via microwave-assisted co-pyrolysis

open access: yesCommunications in Science and Technology
One of the most effective ways of managing solid waste is microwave-assisted pyrolysis. This research used MW-assisted catalytic co-pyrolysis to extract essential oils from algae powder (AP) and date seed (DS).

Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

Synergistic effects in co-pyrolysis of lignin and low-density polyethylene (LDPE): Impact on biochar, bio-oil, and gaseous products

open access: yesIndustrial Crops and Products
The technology for co-pyrolysis of biomass and plastics represents a promising strategy for waste recycling and resource valorization. Kinetic analyses using the Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS) models revealed that the average ...

Dynamic Evolution‐Controlled Parabolic‐Shaped Microstructures for Ultra‐Black Surface via Self‐Assembled Microsphere Mask Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A robust, substrate‐independent fabrication approach overcomes the spectral and geometric limitations of traditional stray‐light suppression. By combining ink spray‐coating with self‐assembled microsphere mask etching, this method produces parabolic‐shaped microstructures on diverse planar and curved engineering components.

A Pore or not a Pore? Understanding Pore Size Distributions of Non‐Graphitic Carbon and Atomically‐Dispersed M‐N‐C Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gassorption analysis of in‐plane functionalized carbons reveals small, uniform ultramicropore signatures as potential artefacts of specific adsorption of the probe gases. Low‐pressure Langmuir fitting links these features to distinct functionalities via adsorption energies, enabling straightforward quantification of otherwise inaccessible surface‐site ...

Efficient Concentration and Complete Destruction of Short‐Chain and Emerging PFAS in Contaminated Water via Integrated Interface Engineering‐Enhanced Carbon Felt Sorption and Photochemical Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A closed‐loop “Concentrate‐Destroy” strategy is presented for completely eliminating short‐chain and emerging PFAS, in which the new 3D PPy@P‐CF is used for efficiently concentrating PFAS and Cu2+‐mediated photodegradation is applied for the completely destroying PFAS in the sorbent regeneration eluent.
