Ranking of field association terms using Co-word analysis
Information Processing & Management, 2008Information retrieval involves finding some desired information in a store of information or a database. In this paper, Co-word analysis will be used to achieve a ranking of a selected sample of FA terms. Based on this ranking a better arranging of search results can be achieved.

Scientometrics, 1997Different corpuses are analysed by means of co-word analysis, in the framework of technological watch of the industrial valorization of plant proteins. The comparison of keyword clusters reveals unequal results, raising the question of the relevance of information retrieval.

It is noted that the main documented criticism of co-word analysis has been that co-occurrences were evaluated on index, or key, words of published articles rather than directly on the text, thereby generating sources of bias and error. This has limited the credibility and scope of textual material available to co-word analysis.
