Beyond Presumptions: Toward Mechanistic Clarity in Metal‐Free Carbon Catalysts for Electrochemical H2O2 Production via Data Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Post-combustion CO2 capture with chemical absorption: a state-of-the-art review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Global concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing rapidly. CO2 emissions have an impact on global climate change. Effective CO2 emission abatement strategies such as Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) are required to combat this trend.

Tuning Amorphous‐Crystalline Catalytic Interfaces by Mechanochemistry: Cu‐Based Metallic Glasses Coupled with Ceria for CO Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ball‐milling Cu‐based metallic glasses with ceria creates a unique nanostructure where metallic glass particles are wrapped by CeO2 nanoparticles. The intimate integration triggers copper state reorganization during reaction and aging, boosting CO oxidation and COPrOx activity.

Mechanism study on the effect of SO2 on CO2 adsorption performance of potassium-based adsorbent

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
After desulphurization, the trace amount of SO2 in the tail gas of coal-fired power plant will lead to the deterioration of CO2 adsorption performance of potassium-based adsorbent.

On the Adsorption of CO2 by Active Carbons

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1993
The combination of adsorption and calorimetric techniques shows that the adsorption of CO2is a two-step process in the case of active carbons with large micropores (L > 1.2–1.5 nm). For smaller pores, on the other hand, one observes a uniform filling of the volume.
