TEPA modification Cu-BTC@SiO2 preparation of composite aerogel and its CO2 capture characteristics

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
Under the dual strategic background of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, CO2 capture has become an important task at present. Solid adsorbent adsorption is widely used in CO2 capture process, among which SiO2 aerogel has the advantages of low cost,

Tailoring the CO2 selective adsorption properties of MOR zeolites by post functionalization

open access: yes, 2022
A wide range of organic molecules covering benzene, dimethylbenzene, methoxybenzene, and dimethoxybenzene, isopropylbenzene with different molecular diameters were covalently attached to the interior micropore walls of mordenite (MOR) zeolites to enable ...

Bioinspired Mechanically Robust Organic–Inorganic Hybridized Bio‐Adhesives With up to 50% Inorganic Components by Bi‐Continuous Phase Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A robust plant protein adhesive was prepared by fabricating a bi‐continuous organic–inorganic hybrid structure. Compared with traditional organic–inorganic hybrid adhesives, the addition amount of inorganic phase is increased from 0.2%–3.0% to 50%, and the strength and toughness are increased by 6 and 121 times, respectively.

Coupling Anodic Activity and Stability at Ni‐Based Non‐Oxide Catalysts via Coordinating Alcohol Oxidation and Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A cooperative and competitive interrelationship between alcohol oxidation (AOR) and water oxidation (OER) was observed on a typical anode catalyst of Ni2P. In situ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical analyses revealed a specific complementary mechanism between them, in which OER and AOR critically contribute to the activity and stability of anodic ...

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

Rapid screening of CO2-selective zeolites, carbons and MOFs by Five-step vacuum swing adsorption performances estimated with equilibrium theory analysis

open access: yesResources Chemicals and Materials
It was aimed to evaluate a variety of conventional and emerging CO2-selective adsorbents, considering their use in a five-step VSA (Vacuum Swing Adsorption) system for flue gas capture.

A multi-criteria design framework for the synthesis of complex pressure swing adsorption cycles for CO2 capture

open access: yes, 2010
Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is the most efficient option for middle scale separation processes. PSA is a cyclic process whose main steps are adsorption, at high pressure, and regeneration of the adsorbent, at low pressure.

Functional Precision Oncology Approach Using Nanoliter Droplet Array for Drug Sensitivity Testing in Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A miniaturized drug sensitivity and resistance testing (DSRT) workflow based on the Droplet Microarray (DMA) platform enables functional drug testing using minimal patient‐derived tumor material. By screening nanoliter‐scale droplets containing as few as 300 cells, this approach generates reproducible and tumor‐specific drug response profiles ...

Mechanism of CO2 adsorption on Mg/DOBDC with elevated CO2 loading

open access: yesFuel, 2016
Abstract Understanding the nature of CO2 adsorption in porous materials is important to developing the next generation high performance adsorbents for CO2 capture. The mechanism of CO2 adsorption in a typical metal organic framework (MOF) material, named Mg/DOBDC (DOBDC = 1,4-dioxido-2,5-benzenedicarboxylate), was investigated by experiments and ...
