An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Simple Rectangular Gratings as a Near-Field “Anti-Reflection” Pattern for GaSb TPV Cells
We show theoretically that 2D rectangular gratings on the surface of GaSb can serve as an “anti-reflection” pattern for nano-gap thermophotovoltaic (TPV) devices, which significantly enhances near-field radiative flux from the emitter to a GaSb cell ...

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

CO2 capture and utilization with solid waste
Nowadays, the massive consumption of fossil fuels and the resulting excessive emission of carbon dioxide (CO2) have broken the original carbon balance of nature, resulting in global warming and the consequent detrimental environmental impacts. To address

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Facile synthesis of 2-benzimidazolones via carbonylation of o-phenylenediamines with CO2
An efficient synthesis for the benzimidazolones and various 1,3-disubstituted urea derivatives prepared from several nucleophiles like o-phenylenediamines and o-aminophenols with CO2 (1 MPa) under transition-metal-free or acetate complex free conditions ...

The utilization of carbon dioxide by the microalgal species Scenedesmus [PDF]
Climate change, which is predominantly a result of anthropogenic global warming, is a major concern for humanity. The scientific consensus is that the rise of greenhouse gases, such as CO2, in the atmosphere has contributed to global warming.

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.
