Food Waste Gasification through Hydrothermal Carbonization Pre-treatment [PDF]
Non-recyclable wastes promise great potential for the development of new and robust Waste-to-Energy (WtE) technology. Most of these wastes consist of the vital energy contents which could potentially be converted to various forms of useful energy ...

Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Kinetic studies of CO
The methanation of CO₂ was investigated over a wide range of partial pressures of products and reactants using a gradientless, spinning-basket reactor operated in batch mode. The rate and selectivity of CO₂ methanation, using a 12 wt% Ni/γ-Al₂O₃ catalyst,

CO and CO2 Co-Methanation on Ni/CeO2-ZrO2 Soft-Templated Catalysts [PDF]
Supported nickel catalysts were synthesized, characterized, and employed in the carbon oxides co-methanation process. Five NiO/CeO2-ZrO2 mixed oxides, with the same Ni content and different Ce/Zr molar ratios, were prepared by the soft-template method. They were characterized through ICP-AES, N2 adsorption, XRD, and TPR.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Effect of metal loading and Ce addition on biochar-supported Co catalysts for CO2 methanation
CO2 hydrogenation to methane is an interesting topic that can result in CO2 mitigation, providing a solution for global warming. Using a sustainable catalyst in that process will be considered as a plus point that makes the whole system (material ...
