Barriers to Steel Decarbonization
Main identified barriers to steel decarbonization Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are a leading contributor to global climate change, necessitating urgent mitigation strategies. While various metrics—such as total national emissions, per‐capita output, and historical contributions—define responsibility, determining accountability remains complex ...

Coal Gangue Target Detection Based on Improved YOLOv5s
Coal gangue sorting is a necessary process in coal mine production, and removing gangue is the basis for the coal production of clean energy; it is also an important approach to reduce the cost of washing, improve the grade of finished coal and increase ...

Commercial iron ore sinter is reduced isothermally under operation‐derived radial blast furnace gas atmospheres with and without 20 kg H2/tHM injection. Hydrogen improves reduction at 900–1100 °C, whereas at 700 °C the high H2O content limits the wüstite‐to‐iron driving force.

Toward Carbon Neutrality: Pathways and Challenges in Green Steel Production
ABSTRACT Steel, a cornerstone of modern civilization and economic growth, has experienced exponential production growth, resulting in substantial carbon emissions owing to reliance on fossil‐based reducing agents and fuels. Although conventional steelmaking methods have improved, achieving the climate targets outlined in the Paris Agreement requires ...

ABSTRACT The conversion of waste materials into solid CO2 adsorbents is a promising strategy for carbon capture and waste management. In this review, we discuss recent advances in the preparation and modification of waste‐derived CO2 adsorbents, including carbon‐based materials, zeolites, metal–organic frameworks, layered double hydroxides, CaO, and ...

Accurate identification method of coal and gangue based on geometric feature constraints by DE-XRT
The dual energy X-ray transmission identification of coal gangue still faces challenges in thickness, hardening, afterglow, and fan-shaped effects, among which the parameters for 5-150 mm wide thickness coal gangue separation fluctuate significantly and ...
