Ultralight Soft Wearable Haptic Interface with Shear‐Normal‐Vibration Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study proposes soft wearable haptic interface using pneumatic actuators and origami pumps. This interface can generate multiple sensations such as touching, slipping, and vibrating. To show performance and wearability of this interface, virtual reality is connected with the interface, and user tests are conducted.

Data‐Driven Insights into Rare Earth Mineralization: Machine Learning Applications Using Functional Material Synthesis Data

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Hydrothermal synthesis records for rare‐earth compounds are repurposed to learn mineralization rules. An extreme gradient boosting model ingests precursors, additives, and engineered descriptors to predict product phases, crystallization temperature, and pH. Feature importance indicates dominant thermodynamic control with kinetic modulation, suggesting

Materials Innovation and the Changing Face of Photocatalytic and Electrocatalytic Carbon Dioxide Reduction Research: From Metal Nanoclusters to Extended Frameworks

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Innovative catalyst design is advancing precision‐controlled catalysis for CO2 reduction. This minireview investigates the forefront of photocatalytic and electrocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2RR) leveraging metal nanoclusters (NCs), metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), and covalent organic frameworks (COFs), concentrating on structure–activity correlations ...

Fire avoidance and long‐term population decline in the endangered Florida ground lichen Cladonia perforata within a pyrogenic habitat

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise Fire is a key ecological process that shapes ecosystems globally, yet fire adaptation strategies remain unclear for many species, especially for ground lichens that are reliant on pyrogenic landscapes but are evidently fire‐intolerant.

Sulfur Dioxide‐ and Fluoride‐Associated Declines in Lung Function Over an 11‐Year Observation Among Aluminum Smelter Workers

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Industrial Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Work exposure‐related declines in lung function among aluminum smelter workers are well documented, yet task‐varying exposures are likely to contribute differently to respiratory outcomes. This study aimed to assess the association between potroom exposure and lung function changes over time among aluminum smelter workers. Methods A
