Coal-Dust and Explosions [PDF]
THOSE who have given the labours and conclusions of workers antecedent to, and contemporaneous with, Mr. W. Galloway, on the subject of the part played by coal-dust in mine explosions, the careful consideration which these merit in common with the results and writings of that zealous exponent of the question, will hardly feel disposed to concur in his ...

A lithology identification while drilling method was developed, integrating an automated cuttings sampling system, a smart drilling rig, and an ensemble learning model. Underground trials achieved 97.42% accuracy in real‐time identification of cuttings lithology and composition, enhancing hazard management and supporting unmanned drilling technology in

Coal dust residual hydrocarbons as a factor of fire and explosion risks increasing in coal mines
The residual hydrocarbons of coal dust and coals of Osinnikovskaya mine (Kuzbass) which are allocated from the dust and coal, as well as their fractions by the size, are investigated at thermal influence (under the temperatures of 150-250 °С).

Assessing the effectiveness of inertization of brown coal dust with limestone rock dust [PDF]
An assessment of the effectiveness of inertization of coal dust with inert dust is an important step in prevention of coal dust explosions. According to the tests on their explosive properties, coal dusts from all the mines in Bosnia and Herzegovina ...

Dynamic cracking properties and generating conditions of coal under rapid gas release
Gas release tests revealed that crack initiation and propagation are jointly controlled by initial crack length, residual strength, and gas release velocity. A new outburst risk coefficient was thus developed from a fracture mechanics perspective, offering a novel predictive approach.
