Luteolin Glycoside From Dracocephalum moldavica L. Attenuates COPD by Modulating TLR4 Expression and Alveolar Cross‐Talk

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 4, July 2026.
Luteolin‐7‐O‐β‐d‐glucuronide mitigates CS‐induced COPD progression by promoting cytokine‐mediated functional cross‐talk between alveolar macrophages and epithelial cells. ABSTRACT Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is associated with inflammation of the airway and lung parenchyma with limited airflow due to continued exposure to harmful ...

Neogene Stable Carbon Isotopic Evolution of the Atmosphere and Low‐Latitude Surface Ocean

open access: yesPaleoceanography and Paleoclimatology, Volume 41, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract We reconstruct the stable carbon isotopic composition of Neogene surface ocean dissolved inorganic carbon (δ13CDIC) and atmospheric CO2 (δ13CATM) to serve as input for carbon cycle modeling and proxy‐related studies. The largely observation‐based δ13CDIC reconstructions are inferred from Neogene planktic foraminifer carbonate δ13C records with

Pollution Legacy and Land Use Influence Peat Chemistry in Temperate Lowland Peatlands

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 131, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Peatlands slowly accumulate carbon and other elements over time, making them excellent archives of historical environmental conditions. A large proportion of low‐lying peat has been drained and converted to agricultural cropland or grassland use. Peatlands in some areas are also impacted by atmospheric deposition of metals from past industrial

Greenhouse Gas Reduction Potential Through Bioheat for Remote Communities in Northeastern Ontario

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 18, Issue 7, July 2026.
Heating infrastructure in remote areas has high potential for fuel switching, possibly leading to decreased greenhouse gas emissions. Using a simplified life cycle analysis approach, we show that woody residues from the forest industry have the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to commonly used fossil fuels.
