Catalysts for change: Museum gardens in a planetary emergency

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 2, Page 401-410, March 2026.
Natural history museums are often seen as places with indoor galleries full of dry‐dusty specimens, usually of animals. But if they have gardens associated with them, museums can use living plants to create narratives that link outside spaces to inside galleries, bringing to life the challenges facing biodiversity.

EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF THE MOISTURE CONTENT OF COAL DUST ON THE PREDICTION OF THE COAL DUST EXPLOSION INDEX

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 2020
Exploring the mechanism of coal dust explosions is essential for the development of safety techniques to prevent coal dust explosions. An explosion index can be used to estimate explosion severity.

Active explosion barrier performance against methane and coal dust explosions [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coal Science & Technology, 2015
Preventing the propagation of methane or coal dust explosions through the use of active explosion-suppression systems remains one of the most underutilised explosion controls in underground coal mines. As part of the effort to develop better technologies to safeguard mines, the use of active barrier systems was investigated at Kloppersbos in South ...
