The Application of Hydrochar Composite Briquettes for Sustainable Slag Foaming in the Electric Arc Furnace Process

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Hydrochar‐mill‐scale briquettes with varying C/O molar ratios (0.07–0.90) have been tested at 1650 °C to evaluate their slag foaming performance for electric arc furnace application. All seven briquette recipes developed succeed in promoting slag foaming.

Crushed Coal Gasification Combustion in a Cyclone Slagging Combustor.

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Institute of Energy, 1993
This paper describes the experimental results of crushed coal firing two-stage combustion with the primary stage of cycolone slagging combustion. Combustion experiments were carried out under various air equivalence ratios in primary combustion, in several experiment series with different coal type, coal feed rate and coal in-jection azimuth.
