Integrating Adaptive Capacity Alters Outcomes When Modelling Effects of Warming on a Cold‐Water Fish in a Sub‐Arctic Ecosystem

open access: yesDiversity and Distributions, Volume 31, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim Local species distributions are often geographically restricted to a subset of environmental conditions across a species' full range, complicating forecasting climate warming effects. However, Bayesian species distribution models (SDM) can leverage geographically restricted datasets with broader knowledge of habitat relationships across ...

Revisiting Vitamin and Trace Mineral Nutrition in Atlantic Salmon Farming With Emphasis on Fish Health

open access: yesReviews in Aquaculture, Volume 17, Issue 4, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Atlantic salmon farming is faced with numerous environmental and production‐related challenges affecting fish health and welfare, globally and in Norway. An animal's requirement for a nutrient is the sum of the required supply of available nutrients for maintenance, growth, reproduction, health, and disease resistance.

Pore structure characteristics of filter cake in coal slurry water pressure filtration

open access: yes矿业科学学报, 2017
The pore structure of filter cake is the key factor influencing coal slurry water filtering effect, but filter cake structure is easily damaged and coal particles and pores become indistinguishable during the coal slime filter cake measurement. In order ...

A Statistical Study of the Parasite of the Unionidae [PDF]

open access: yes, 1899
The studies on the quantitative occurrence of parasites in different species of the Unlonirke which form the basis of the present paper were made at the Illinois Biological Station, at Havana, early in the summers of 1896 and 1897 and continued both ...

Environmental DNA (eDNA) Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction‐Based Assays for Surveying 125 Taxa of Importance to North America

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, Volume 7, Issue 3, May–June 2025.
We present 125 eDNA quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assays against animal species of importance to North America. We show how these assays were designed and validated to comply with the Canadian national eDNA standards to allow confident eDNA detection for coastal and inland ecological surveys and biosurveillance.

Experimental research on low and strength characteristics of coal slime based cemented filling material

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
To study the flow and strength characteristics of coal slime based backfill materials, orthogonal tests were used to design one cemented backfill material combining coal slime, high-water-content materials, cement, and fly ash.

Quantum chemistry investigation on influence of substituted carbonconcentration on the hydrophobicity of coal-pyrite surface

open access: yes矿业科学学报, 2018
The surface hydrophobicity of coal pyrite is enhanced because of doping with carbon atoms. In order to remove pyrite from coal,it is very important to analyze the influence of substituted carbon concentration on the hydrophobicity of coal-pyrite surface ...

Research on the Prediction Method of 3D Surface Deformation in Filling Mining Based on InSAR‐IPIM

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 13, Issue 5, Page 2401-2414, May 2025.
Aiming at a series of defects existing in the monitoring of mining area by InSAR technology, this paper proposes an insar‐ipim model to predict the three‐dimensional surface deformation of filling mining. The parameters of the model are inversed by using the group optimization algorithm slime bacteria algorithm proposed in 2020, and the empirical ...
