Analysis of the main controlling factors of intra-well frac hit between deep coalbed methane in Daning-Jixian block and research on countermeasures to prevent and control it

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
With the large-scale construction and production of deep coalbed methane horizontal wells, the problem of inter-well frac hit has become more and more obvious, which seriously affects the normal production of neighboring wells. In order to avoid and slow

Study on Deformation Law of Crossing Layer Drilling Superimposed Floor Roadway

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 2752-2771, June 2026.
Based on deformation law of crossing layer drilling superimposed floor roadway, low dip angle drilling is particularly susceptible to complications such as borehole blockage and collapse. ABSTRACT Floor extraction roadway crossing layer drilling is a pivotal strategy for gas control in areas prone to coal and gas outbursts.

Experimental Investigation of Sensitivity for Coal and Gas Outburst Risk Prediction Indexes in Raw and Tectonic Composite Coal Seams

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 2772-2784, June 2026.
A comparative study was conducted on gas desorption laws of raw and tectonic coals. The sensitivity of regional and local outburst prediction indexes was compared. Gas content is more sensitive than gas pressure for composite coal seams. K1 can more accurately predict the outburst danger than Δ h 2 in composite coal seams.

Appraising Carbon Geological‐Storage Potential in Saline Aquifers Using Two‐Phase Rate‐Transient Analysis

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Rate transient analysis (RTA) is a practical and cost‐effective method for CO2 injection data analysis and storage capacity evaluation of saline aquifers. However, the nonlinear behavior introduced by two‐phase CO2–brine flow, coupled with pressure‐dependent fluid and rock properties, significantly limits the applicability of conventional ...
