Non-Utilitarian Coalition Structure Generation

2016
The coalition structure generation problem is one of the key challenges in multi-agent coalition formation. It involves partitioning a set of agents into coalitions so that system performance is optimized. To date, the multi-agent systems literature has focused exclusively on the utilitarian version of this problem which seeks to maximize the sum of ...

A Local Adaptive Perfect Coalition Structure Generation Problem Considering Coalition Breakup

2015 IIAI 4th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics, 2015
Forming effective coalitions is a major issue in multiagent systems. The existing coalition structure generation (CSG) algorithms fail to determine the structure 's robustness because agent withdrawals cannot be identified in all the coalition structures.

Dynamic coalition structure generation for autonomous connected vehicles

2017 IEEE International Conference on Agents (ICA), 2017
In this paper, we present a decentralized, dynamic Coalition Structure Generation (CSG) method for autonomous connected vehicle convoying. A set of vehicles is partitioned into coalitions, each managed by a leader. In the two-phased approach, leaders first communicate with each other to determine whether a coalition merge is beneficial.

Optimal Coalition Structure Generation in Cooperative Graph Games

Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2013
Representation languages for coalitional games are a key research area in algorithmic game theory. There is an inherent tradeoff between how general a language is, allowing it to capture more elaborate games, and how hard it is computationally to optimize and solve such games.

Solving the Coalition Structure Generation Problem with MaxSAT

2012 IEEE 24th International Conference on Tools with Artificial Intelligence, 2012
Coalition Structure Generation (CSG), a main research issue in the domain of coalition games, involves partitioning agents into exhaustive and disjoint coalitions so that the social welfare is optimized. The advent of compact representation schemes, such as marginal contribution networks (MC-nets), promotes the efficiency of solving the CSG problem. In

Bounded Approximate Algorithm for Probabilistic Coalition Structure Generation

2018
How to form effective coalitions is an important issue in multi-agent systems. Coalition Structure Generation (\({\mathsf {CSG}}\)) is a fundamental problem that can formalize various applications related to multi-agent cooperation. \({\mathsf {CSG}}\) involves partitioning a set of agents into coalitions so that the social surplus (i.e. the sum of the
