The impact of control structures on firm value

open access: yesBorsa Istanbul Review, 2023
The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of control structures on the value of family-controlled firms in Turkiye, an emerging market. Turkish firms are usually affiliated with family-controlled business groups.

On the Online Coalition Structure Generation Problem

open access: yesJournal of Artificial Intelligence Research, 2021
We consider the online version of the coalition structure generation problem, in which agents, corresponding to the vertices of a graph, appear in an online fashion and have to be partitioned into coalitions by an authority (i.e., an online algorithm).

Therapeutic Apheresis in Nigeria: A Multi‐Center Summary of Abstracts From the Inaugural Nigerian Society for Apheresis Scientific Meeting

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Balancedness and Core of Stochastic Cooperative Games with Proportional Distributions

open access: yesAxioms
This paper studies the balancedness and core properties of stochastic cooperative games under proportional distribution mechanisms. Different from decomposed payoff structures in the existing literature, where individual payoffs are separated into ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Coalition Formation among Farsighted Agents [PDF]

open access: yes
A set of coalition structures P is farsightedly stable (i) if all possible deviations from any coalition structure p belonging to P to a coalition structure outside P are deterred by the threat of ending worse off or equally well off, (ii) if there ...

Distributed adaptive coalition task allocation based on reachable region online prediction for munition swarm

open access: yesDefence Technology
Task allocation for munition swarms is constrained by reachable region limitations and real-time requirements. This paper proposes a reachable region guided distributed coalition formation game (RRG-DCF) method to address these issues.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
