Optimization of Fiber Laydown During the Fiber Spinning Process by Utilizing the Coanda‐Effect [PDF]

open access: goldMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 309, Issue 4, April 2024., 2023
This work investigates the fiber laydown during fiber spinning by aerodynamic stretching. Due to fiber accumulation underneath the stretching devices, a metal rod is placed in‐between to deflect the fibers into the center utilizing the Coanda‐effect.

Performance evaluation, sensitivity analysis, and mitigating instabilities of Coanda effect-based flow control for a transonic jet: The investigation of shock effects

open access: goldAin Shams Engineering Journal
A flying object can be controlled in various ways. A specific flow control for a transonic jet has been proposed recently based on the Coanda effect and auxiliary flows.

The Influence of Surface Temperature on Coanda Effect

open access: diamondEnergy Procedia, 2014
AbstractCoanda effect is the adhesion of fluid on a convex surface. This paper presents the effect of temperature on the Coanda flow and shows how the temperature of the surface can influence the flow behaviour. It has been found that there are two mechanisms which influence the flow behaviour; both have contrary effect on the flow.

Influence of Surface Curvature on Coanda Effect for Vertical Jet Impacting Horizontal Cylinder [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2023
The Coanda effect is a tendency of flowing fluid to follow the solid surface rather than to separate under the inertial effect. This paper presents the effects of surface curvature on the Coanda angle and jet deflection for a vertical jet impacting a ...

Theoretical and practical aspects of the Coandă effect applied in aeronautics [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2019
The Coandă Effect, or better said, the deviation of fluid jets to stay attached to a convex surface is a complex gas-dynamic effect, named after the Romanian aviation engineer Henri Coandă and it was for the first time highlighted by him in 1910 during ...

European Journal of Heart Failure expert consensus statement on transcatheter treatment of mitral regurgitation in heart failure. [PDF]

open access: yesEur J Heart Fail
The patient with SMR: From diagnostic assessment to treatment. Secondary mitral regurgitation (SMR) is highly prevalent in patients with heart failure (HF), associated with poor prognosis, and its treatment is typically preceded by implementing pharmacotherapy for HF as well as cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Antithermal shield for rockets with heat evacuation by infrared radiation reflection [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2010
At high speed, the friction between the air mass and the rocket surface causes a localheating of over 1000 Celsius degrees. For the heat protection of the rocket, on its outside surfacethermal shields are installed.Studying the Coanda effect, the fluid ...
