Geomorphology of high-latitude coastal dunes : a review
The purpose of this review is to assess if there are any specific processes and morphologies distinguishing coastal dunes developed in cold-climate conditions, in order to illustrate how climate can exert a control on coastal dune morphologies.

The relationship between the climate and societal transformation in Maya lowlands has long been debated, particularly the role of drought in shaping the civilization trajectory during the Classic Period. A high‐resolution, multi‐proxy, geochemical record from Lake Kaná, located in the underexplored Uaymil region of the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico ...

Tracking the Pulse of the Dunes: Seasonal Metabolic Responses of Liolaemus arambarensis to Climatic Variability. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Seasonal environmental fluctuations profoundly influence ectothermic vertebrates, regulating their physiology, metabolism, and life cycles. This study investigated the metabolic and morphometric seasonal dynamics of the subtropical sand lizard Liolaemus arambarensis, an endangered species endemic to the coastal dunes of southern Brazil.

Luminescence dating of coastal deposits from the Chanthaburi Plain, Thailand
The ongoing global sea‐level rise urges us to better understand the dynamics of coastal processes for predicting future changes. Sedimentary deposits reflect past coastal environments but require precise chronological data to place evidence into a temporal context.

Process-based modeling of coastal dune development
In this paper, the aeolian transport model DUNE (Sauermann et al., 2001, Kroy et al., 2002) that describes important features and dynamics of typical desert dunes, is extended such that it can be applied in sandy coastal areas.

Twelve principles for successful governance of community‐based coastal marine restoration
Abstract Global agreements, such as the Global Biodiversity Framework, call for urgent, large‐scale action to halt biodiversity loss through a whole‐of‐society approach. Community‐based restoration can play a crucial role in achieving this goal, yet there remains limited understanding of what makes these projects effective and sustainable.
