Microbial mats in dinosaur ichnocoenoses
ABSTRACT Until now, the significance of microbial mats in preservation of dinosaur tracks and in reconstructing the palaeoenvironment in which dinosaurs roamed was rarely studied. Dinosaur tracks are commonly found close to ancient aquatic bodies where moist sediment had once allowed footstep registration.

ABSTRACT This research examines the spatial and geochemical interactions between mat‐forming microorganisms and thalassinid shrimp in an intertidal flat situated on the shores of Willapa Bay, Washington, USA. The study serves as a contemporary analog for the relationships between mats and burrowing organisms in deep time.

Nutrient dynamics in coastal lagoons: Dalyan lagoon case study
The aim of this study is to better understand the nutrient cycles together with their physical, chemical and biological transformations and thus to set the required mechanisms for modelling. In this manner, it is aimed to make contributions to the sustainable management and control of pollutant sources in a selected coastal lagoon, which is of utmost ...

ABSTRACT Continental margins are reservoirs of materials of terrestrial and marine origin, and they play a crucial role in understanding the spatial and temporal variability of biogeochemical cycles. This, in turn, provides insights into the development and intensity of oxygen minimum zones (OMZs).
