Spatial and temporal variation in survival of female wild turkeys
The Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.We monitored 370 female wild turkeys across North Carolina's 3 ecoregions from 2020‐2022 to understand factors influencing their survival. Female survival varied by ecoregion and behavior state, with the incubation period having the lowest survival rates. None of the land cover variables affected survival.

Annual Review of Environment and ResourcesWe review the functioning and sustainability of coastal marshes and mangroves. Urbanized humans have a 7,000-year-old enduring relationship to coastal wetlands. Wetlands include marshes, salt flats, and saline and freshwater forests. Coastal wetlands occur in all climate zones but are most abundant in deltas.
