Evaluating the impact of varying amino acid density and energy levels fed during the finisher phase (d 28–41) on male Cobb MV × Cobb 500 FF broiler performance, processing, and economics

open access: yesJournal of Applied Poultry Research, 2023
SUMMARY: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of feeding varying amino acid densities (AAD) and AME levels during the finisher phase (d 28–41) on male Cobb MV × Cobb 500 broiler performance, processing, and economics.

Radiographic scoliosis angle estimation: spline-based measurement reveals superior reliability compared to traditional COBB method

open access: yesEuropean spine journal, 2020
Although being standard for scoliosis curve size estimation, COBB angle measurement is well known to be inaccurate, due to a high interobserver variance in end vertebra selection and end plate contour delineation.

Entangled Tongues: A Poststructuralist and Postcolonial Reading of Acts 2:1-13

open access: yesJournal for Interdisciplinary Biblical Studies, 2022
This essay explores the meaning of the word glōssa, the tongue, in Acts. The focus of my study will be Acts 2:1-13, the Pentecost narrative, where the reader first interacts with tongues of fire and with the experience of glossolalia, speaking in tongues.

Effect of pullet body weight and hen dietary amino acid treatments on their progeny fed high and low amino acid diets

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2021
Four studies were conducted on Cobb 700 broilers to evaluate the dietary protein and any maternal effects on live production and processing parameters. Day-old Cobb 700 broiler breeder pullets were reared to conform to 2 different BW curves (control BW ...

Considering spatiotemporal evolutionary information in dynamic multi‐objective optimisation

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Preserving population diversity and providing knowledge, which are two core tasks in the dynamic multi‐objective optimisation (DMO), are challenging since the sampling space is time‐ and space‐varying. Therefore, the spatiotemporal property of evolutionary information needs to be considered in the DMO.

3D Printing of Bacteriophage‐Loaded Hydrogels: Development of a Local and Long‐Lasting Delivery System

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This research investigates the feasibility of 3D‐printing of a bacteriophage‐containing hydrogel made of alginate and methylcellulose. The printed hydrogels steadily release active bacteriophages for up to 35 days which is beneficial to treat implant‐associated infections.

Cobb MV × Cobb 700 broiler responses to eight varying levels of amino acid density with emphasis on digestible lysine

open access: yesJournal of Applied Poultry Research, 2020
Summary: The percentage of broiler complex processing plants slaughtering big birds (e.g., those greater than 3.5 kg) has steadily increased in the United States the past 15 yr. Precision amino acids in dietary formulation is key as the growing cycle for
