Hop as a phytogenic alternative to antibiotic growth promoters in poultry production

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 105, Issue 9, Page 4753-4757, July 2025.
Abstract With the rapid growth of the world's population, the demand for food is also increasing. Poultry accounts for 40% of the global meat sector and therefore represents a significant area for further growth. One starting point for increasing production is to refine the composition of feed to improve the efficiency of growth and nutrient ...

Efficacy Studies on Meticlorpindol as a Coccidiostat

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1967
Abstract NINETEEN or more coccidiostats have been manufactured and marketed in the United States to mix in poultry feeds for prevention of coccidiosis (Reid, 1961). Such materials are so commonly accepted that chick starter feed minus a coccidiostat is mixed only on special order by most commercial feed companies.
