PREDACEOUS COCCINELLIDAE IN BIOLOGICAL CONTROL
Annual Review of Entomology, 1998▪ Abstract Coccinellids have been widely used in biological control for over a century, and the methods for using these predators have remained virtually unchanged. The causes for the relatively low rates of establishment of coccinellids in importation biological control have not been examined for most species.

Although our knowledge in this field somewhat progressed in the last 25 years, mostly as far as parasites of coccinellids are concerned, our conclusion (Hodek 1973) seems to be still valid: there is no tangible evidence of the impact of enemies on the population changes of coccinellids.
