[Evolutive stages of the iliac compression syndrome (Cockett's syndrome) (author's transl)].

Annales de dermatologie et de venereologie, 1980
The term of Cockett's syndrome stands for a lower limb dysfunction with venous stasis originating from the left common iliac compression by the right common iliac artery at the pelvis inlet level. For the authors, there are three evolutive stages. First stage: a simple compression without any anatomic venous parietal lesion.

In situ management of late thrombosis of a renal graft vein in a patient with Cockett syndrome

Nephrologie & therapeutique, 2023
Late thrombosis of the renal graft vein is a rare complication that results in graft loss in the majority of cases. We describe the case of a 57-year-old female patient who had a kidney transplant 32 years ago and developed a late thrombosis of the graft vein, accompanied by extensive thrombosis in the common femoral and iliac veins.

[Cockett's syndrome].

Phlebologie, 1980
Two personal cases from the pretext for a short discussion on the syndrome defined by Cockett in 1965. The condition is a post-phlebitic syndrome localised to the left common iliac vein. This vein, which is crossed by the right common iliac artery, is in fact the site, at the level of this crossing, of intraluminal and extraluminal lesions whose nature

[Cockett's syndrome. Treatment by venous envelopment in a ringed prosthesis].

Presse medicale (Paris, France : 1983), 1984
The surgical treatment of Cockett's synechiae is now well established, with only minor variations. Various techniques have been suggested to solve the problem of arterial compression, but none of these is fully satisfactory. The authors favour the use of new externally supported grafts, notably the ringed polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) prosthesis, to ...

[Treatment of Cockett syndrome by percutaneous insertion of a vascular endoprosthesis (Gianturco)].

Journal de radiologie, 1994
The authors report the use of endovascular stents in the treatment of one Cockett's syndrome. The compression above left iliac vein ranged on 5 cm. The number of stents placed in the patient was as follow: two stents. An ipsilateral femoral approach was used. The stents were placed immediately after dilatation.

[Cockett's syndrome caused by an ectopic kidney. Apropos of two cases].

Journal de chirurgie, 1992
Two original cases of Cockett's syndrome caused by an ectopic and/or malformed kidney are reported. Intravenous pyelography and computed tomography allow establishing the diagnosis. The choice of the therapy depends on the patency of the left common iliac vein.

[Cockett syndrome. Initial results with percutaneous treatment in 6 patients].

Journal belge de radiologie, 1996
Intimal hypertrophy with venous spur formation caused by compression of the left common iliac vein by the right common iliac artery is advanced as the etiology of the higher incidence of deep venous thrombosis involving the left leg. In most cases of left iliofemoral thrombosis no underlying compression syndrome is detected or treated because the left ...

["Spontaneous" rupture of the left iliac vein complicating Cockett's syndrome].

Archives des maladies du coeur et des vaisseaux, 2003
The case history reported concerns a female patient aged 42 years for whom the clinical picture was that of a blue phlebitis (phlegmatia caerulea dolens), associated with a state of shock evoking a severe pulmonary embolus. The absence of echocardiographic dilatation of the right cavities, and the appearance of a left iliac fossa mass, steered the ...
