Activated coconut shell charcoal carbon using chemical-physical activation [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2016
The use of activated carbon from natural material such as coconut shell charcoal as metal absorbance of the wastewater is a new trend. The activation of coconut shell charcoal carbon by using chemical-physical activation has been investigated. Coconut shell was pyrolized in kiln at temperature about 75 - 150 °C for about 6 hours in producing charcoal ...

TRADITIONAL COCONUT OIL PURIFICATION USING ACTIVATED CHARCOAL COCONUT SHELL ADSORBENTS

open access: yesAgrisaintifika: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Pertanian, 2020
Coconut oil in West Kalimantan is still largely a traditional coconut oil because it has not gone through a refining process. To improve the quality of traditional coconut oil, the addition of activated charcoal can be used as an adsorbent so as to improve the quality of coconut oil.

Coconut Shell Pyrolysis for Optimum Charcoal Production

open access: yes, 2020
Abstract. Local charcoal makers take little consideration on the quality of their yield, and often only on the quantity produced. A fixed bed reactor was built and experiments were carried out at final bed temperature ranging from 350°C – 600°C at 50°C intervals at a heating rate of 4°C/min. Maximum charcoal yield was at 39.2% at 500°C.
