In 1972, CODCO founding members Cathy Jones, Greg Malone, Dyan Olsen, Tommy Sexton, Mary Walsh, and Mary White were given $300 seed money by Paul Thompson of Theatre Passe Muraille. This money helped them to live in Toronto and write Cod on a Stick, which was produced as a full length play in Newfoundland in 1973.
