Average Likelihood Methods for Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)

2014
Abstract : This final report summarizes the most significant findings of the work done under the in-house effort titled Optimal Methods for Modulation Classification on average likelihood methods. The development began with the exact calculation of the likelihood function using symbolic algebra software.

Performance analysis and simulation of code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular digital networks

IEEE 43rd Vehicular Technology Conference, 2002
The performance of a code division multiple access (CDMA) spreading ALOHA access protocol, which could be applied to cellular digital network and personal communications services, is investigated. Exact analysis for such a system access protocol is extremely difficult.

Average Likelihood Methods of Classification of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)

2016
Abstract : This final report summarizes the most significant findings under the in-house effort titled Average Likelihood For CDMA.The effort included refinements to the proposed average likelihood method discussed in AFRL-RI-RS-TR-2014-09-093.The refinements include a Taylors approximation of the log-likelihood function the development of algorithms ...

A multichannel short range bidirectional infrared link with code division multiple access (CDMA)

IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 1998
In this paper, we present an infrared transmission system meant for indoor applications. It is based on CDMA technology and therefore it is highly resistant to environmental interference such as fluorescent light. A very simple synchronization scheme is employed based on a slight detuning of quartz oscillators in the terminals and central station.

Performance of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems in Nakagami multipath fading channel

Proceedings of the Eighteenth National Radio Science Conference. NRSC'2001 (IEEE Cat. No.01EX462), 2002
Multicarrier CDMA system is characterized by a simpler receiver structure than the conventional RAKE receiver. Most of previous studies evaluated the performance of the MC-CDMA system in a Rayleigh multipath fading channel. This paper compares the performance of a RAKE receiver and MC-CDMA system in a Nakagami multipath fading.

Neural matched filter detection in synchronous code-division multiple-access (CDMA) systems

Thirteenth National Radio Science Conference. NRSC '96, 2002
In communication networks employing spread-spectrum (SS) code-division multiple-access (CDMA), the performance of single user matched filter receivers are highly degraded when the relative powers of the interfering signals are large (the near-far problem).

Call admission control for reducing dropped calls in code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular systems

Proceedings IEEE INFOCOM 2000. Conference on Computer Communications. Nineteenth Annual Joint Conference of the IEEE Computer and Communications Societies (Cat. No.00CH37064), 2002
Call admission control algorithms that reduce dropped calls in CDMA cellular systems are discussed in this paper. The capacity of a CDMA system is confined by the interference of users from both inside and outside of the target cell. Earlier algorithms for call admission control have been based on the effective traffic load for the target cell if one ...

Code division multiple access with adaptable reservation: a new paradigm for CDMA-based multimedia wireless networks

Proceedings ISCC 2002 Seventh International Symposium on Computers and Communications, 2003
An advantage of CDMA-based protocols is that packets can be transmitted immediately without prior channel access or resource reservation. In this paper, however, we propose to incorporate a reservation mechanism into CDMA-based protocols for next-generation wireless networks with data, voice, and multimedia applications.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF A SLOTTED CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS (CDMA) NETWORK.

2012
A performance model of a multihop code-division multiple access (CDMA) spread-spectrum network is presented. Time is divided into slots, and the network nodes are synchronized such that fixed-length messages will only be sent at the beginning of slots. The message-generation processes at the nodes are assumed to be independent Bernoulli processes.
