Syntactic–Semantic Detection of Clone-Caused Vulnerabilities in the IoT Devices

open access: yesSensors
This paper addresses the problem of IoT security caused by code cloning when developing a massive variety of different smart devices. A clone detection method is proposed to identify clone-caused vulnerabilities in IoT software.

Detecting code clones

open access: yes, 2020
People plagiarize because sometimes it is easier for them to plagiarize then to do the work in the first place. Plagiarism has many forms, it could range from just copy and pasting text found off the internet, to modifying the text so that it appears they wrote the text on their own.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Development of an Efficient Semantic Code Clone Detection Technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Over the last few years, code clones have emerged as an active area of research because of their wide range of applications in di erent domains of software engineering. Code clones are the result of copy paste activities.

Source Code Similarity and Clone Search [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Historically, clone detection as a research discipline has focused on devising source code similarity measurement and search solutions to cancel out effects of code reuse in software maintenance.

CCDive: A Deep Dive into Code Clone Detection Using Local Sequence Alignment

open access: yesTsinghua Science and Technology
The rapid evolution of software development has accentuated the deficiencies of prevailing code clone detection techniques. As modern applications become more complex, traditional cloning tools often struggle to detect general and large-gap clones that ...
