Ultrafast all-optical code-division multiple-access (CDMA) fiber-optic networks

Computer Networks, 1994
Abstract With the advanced development of fiber-optics, the large bandwidth-expansion required by spread spectrum code-division multiple-access (CDMA) can now be accomodated by using a fiber-optic channel for transmission and incoherent optical signal processing for code generation and correlation.

Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) applicable for Mobile Satellite Communications

2011 International Siberian Conference on Control and Communications (SIBCON), 2011
This paper describes in particular Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) applicable in Mobile Satellite Communications (MSC) connecting Mobile Earth Stations (MES) via Land Earth Stations (LES). However, in satellite communication systems, as a rule, especially in MSC many users are active at the same time.

Independent Code Division Multiple Access in DS-CDMA

Wireless Personal Communications, 2021
An independent component analysis (ICA) based CDMA receiver is proposed, which in addition to the independence of users also exploits the independence of pseudo-codes in user signal separation. The proposed scheme is termed as independent code division multiple access in contrast to orthogonal code division multiple access being used in conventional ...

Chaotic Digital Code-Division Multiple Access (CDMA) Communication Systems

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1997
In this paper, the structure, principle and framework of chaotic digital code-division multiple access ((CD)2 MA) communication systems are presented. Unlike the existing CDMA systems, (CD)2MA systems use continuous pseudo-random time series to spread the spectrum of message signal and the spread signal is then directly sent through a channel to the ...

A coding-theoretical view on code division multiple access: two new constructions of CDMA codes

Proceedings of IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC), 2002
Coding techniques for the multiple-access problem are investigated. Two constructions of code sequences are considered, one for the OR channel and one for the Gaussian channel. A new construction of codes for the OR channel, which belongs to the family of cyclically permutable (CP) codes also known as optical orthogonal codes, removes the constraint of

On multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) modem design

Proceedings of IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC), 2002
Standard spread-spectrum techniques encounter a severe performance loss under channels with large Doppler spread. It is shown that the novel spread-spectrum technique, called multi-carrier (MC) CDMA, is dual to direct-sequence CDMA. This enables to derive that MC-CDMA is a signalling technique which allows optimum detection under severe Doppler spread.

Performance Analysis of a Slotted Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) Network

MILCOM 1984 - IEEE Military Communications Conference, 1984
A performance model of a multihop Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) Spread Spectrum Network is presented. Time is divided into slots and the network nodes are synchronized such that fixed length messages will only be sent at the beginning of slots. The message generation processes at the nodes are assumed to be independent Bernoulli processes. A node
