Reverse–Complement Similarity Codes
Abstract We discuss a general notion of similarity function between two sequences which is based on their common subsequences. This notion arises in some applications of molecular biology [A.G. D'yachkov, P.L. Erdos, A.J. Macula, V.V. Rykov, D.C. Torney, C.-S. Tung, P.A. Vilenkin, and P.S.

Parallelization Strategies for Graph-Code-Based Similarity Search
The volume of multimedia assets in collections is growing exponentially, and the retrieval of information is becoming more complex. The indexing and retrieval of multimedia content is generally implemented by employing feature graphs.

Are there functionally similar code clones in practice? [PDF]
Having similar code fragments, also called clones, in software systems can lead to unnecessary comprehension, review and change efforts. Syntactically similar clones can often be encountered in practice. The same is not clear for only functionally similar clones (FSC).

Learning distance function by coding similarity [PDF]
We consider the problem of learning a similarity function from a set of positive equivalence constraints, i.e. 'similar' point pairs. We define the similarity in information theoretic terms, as the gain in coding length when shifting from independent encoding of the pair to joint encoding.

Measuring Code Similarity in Large-Scaled Code Corpora [PDF]
Source code similarity measurement is a fundamental technique in software engineering research. Techniques to measure code similarity have been invented and applied to various research areas such as code clone detection, finding bug fixes, and software plagiarism detection. We perform an evaluation of 30 similarity analysers for source code.

Survey of Binary Code Similarity Detection Method [PDF]
Code similarity detection can be divided into two types according to the research object:source code similarity detection and binary code similarity detection, which are commonly used in scenarios such as malicious code identification, vulnerability search,
