Harnessing Phase Separation for the Development of High‐Performance Hydrogels
ABSTRACT Hydrogels are indispensable for the development of next‐generation bioelectronics, soft robotics, and biomedical devices, where their mechanical properties determine performance and reliability. Among strategies to enhance hydrogel mechanics, phase separation enables controlled heterogeneity resulting in gel networks that are reinforced by ...

An Empirical Study of CSS Code Smells in Web Frameworks
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) has become essential to front-end web development for the specification of style. But despite its simple syntax and the theoretical advantages attained through the separation of style from content and behavior, CSS authoring ...

Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.

Beyond technical aspects:how do community smells influence the intensity of code smells?
Code smells are poor implementation choices applied by developers during software evolution that often lead to critical flaws or failure. Much in the same way, community smells reflect the presence of organizational and socio-technical issues within a ...

Discovery of a Potent Fluorescence Polarization Probe for Identifying USP1 Allosteric Inhibitors
This study presents the first ubiquitin‐specific protease 1 (USP1) allosteric fluoroprobe and fluorescence polarization assay, enabling the differentiation of allosteric and catalytic site inhibitors. Further, a novel class of tetrahydroisoquinoline‐based USP1 inhibitors is designed, with compound 14a (USP1 IC50 = 29.9 nM) showing strong selectivity ...
