Contribution of root respiration to soil respiration in a rape (Brassica campestris L.) field in Southwest China

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2014
This study aimed to separate the respective contributions of root and microbial respiration to soil respiration in a rape field in Southwest China. The soil respiration was measured with a closed chamber technique and a regression method was used to ...

Growth and Characterization of Fe0.95Se0.6Te0.4 Single Crystal

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper we present the single crystal growth of Fe0.95Se0.6Te0.4 high TC superconducting sample by the modified Bridgman technique. The x-ray diffraction pattern shows the single crystal nature of the sample, as only (00l) peaks are detectable. The

High pressure growth and electron transport properties of superconducting SmFeAsO1-xHx single crystals

open access: yes, 2017
We report the single crystal growth and characterization of the highest Tc iron-based superconductor SmFeAsO1-xHx. Some sub-millimeter-sized crystals were grown using the mixture flux of Na3As + 3NaH + As at 3.0 GPa and 1473 K.

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Hall Transport in Granular Metals and Effects of Coulomb Interactions

open access: yes, 2007
We present a theory of Hall effect in granular systems at large tunneling conductance $g_{T}\gg 1$. Hall transport is essentially determined by the intragrain electron dynamics, which, as we find using the Kubo formula and diagrammatic technique, can be ...

Poling of VDF/TrFe copolymers using a step-wise method [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
A new poling technique is presented, in which a series of five consecutive pulses of electric field, and with successively increasing strength is applied between the two electrodes of 65/35 VDF/TrFE copolymer based sensor. Between each pulse, the applied
