Basics of Coefficient Diagram Method
2021In this chapter, the fundamental properties which are necessary for CDM design will be presented. In Mathematical Relations, definitions of symbols and their basic relations are briefly discussed. In Coefficient Diagram, the way to draw coefficient diagrams is first introduced and then the interpretation of the coefficient diagram is presented.

Introduction to Coefficient Diagram Method
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2001Abstract We introduce a linear controller design method, called the Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM), which is a kind of model matching approach. In this paper, we have especially focused on the main role and characteristics of specific design parameters γ i , and τ , which are defined by only coefficients of characteristic polynomial.

Digital design of Coefficient Diagram Method
2009 American Control Conference, 2009Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) is the one of the most effective control design methods in literature. It gives control systems that are very stable and robust, system responses without overshoot and very small settling time. The CDM, resolve the classical control problem after selecting a few meaningful design parameters and by automatically ...

Mediant dynamical systems and Diagram Coefficient Method
2009 17th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, 2009In analogy with mediant fractions, mediant dynamical systems are introduced and their properties are analyzed. The Diagram Coefficient Method for assessing the stability of these systems is compared to classical root locus techniques.

Abstract A controller design method, called Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM), is introduced. By this method the simplest controller to satisfy the specification can be designed efficiently. The designer can design the controller and the characteristic polynomial of the closed-loop system simultaneously taking a good balance of stability, response ...

Diophantine Equations in Coefficient Diagram Method
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2001Abstract The Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) is applied to the design of the normal acceleration control of dual-control-surface missile. It is shown that MEMO design problem (matrix Diophantine equation) can be decomposed into series of SIMO problems (scalar Diophantine equation). Feedback controller is designed step by step with CDM.

Application of coefficient diagram method for rotational inverted pendulum control
ICARCV 2004 8th Control, Automation, Robotics and Vision Conference, 2004., 2005In this paper, a design of the augmented state feedback controller by using the concept of coefficient diagram method (CDM) for a servo type of the rotational inverted pendulum system is presented. An integrator is augmented to the system due to the responses exhibiting steady-state error.

Robust controller design for TITO processes with coefficient diagram method
Proceedings of 2003 IEEE Conference on Control Applications, 2003. CCA 2003., 2004In this paper, coefficient diagram method (CDM) is used to design controller for two-input two-output (TITO) processes. The interactions between the loops are minimized by using the conventional decoupler design method; then, decentralized CDM controllers are designed for the process and decoupler blocks.
