Robust temperature control of MSF desalination plants with coefficient diagram method

Proceedings of 2003 IEEE Conference on Control Applications, 2003. CCA 2003., 2004
Design of a controller sufficiently robust to the parametric uncertainties for the plant parameters is an important problem. Coefficient diagram method (CDM) is shown to be an efficient control technique to solve this problem. The controller design by CDM is based on the choice of the coefficients of the characteristic polynomial of the closed loop ...

Importance of coefficient diagram in polynomial method

42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004
Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) is one of polynomial methods in control design. Its design effectiveness mainly stems from the usage of a diagram called "Coefficient Diagram". Coefficient diagram shows the coefficients of characteristic polynomial and those of numerator polynomials corresponding to sensitivity and complementary sensitivity function in

Importance of Polynomial in Coefficient Diagram Method

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2001
Abstract The Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) has been successfully applied to the design of various control systems. The CDM uses polynomials or polynomial matrices as the basic expression of the system. Polynomial expression is as accurate as state-space but its understanding and handling are much easier like transfer function.

A controller based on coefficient diagram method for the robotic manipulators

ICECS 2000. 7th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.00EX445), 2002
In this paper a controller based on coefficient diagram method is introduced developed for robotic manipulators. The significant property of this controller is the designer can design the controller simultaneously taking a good balance of stability, response, and robustness.

Application of Coefficient Diagram Method to Dual-Control-Surface Missile

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2001
Abstract The normal acceleration control of dual-control-surface missile is a typical MIMO problem, where various modern control design techniques are employed. Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM), with proven effectiveness in SISO or SIMO control design, has been applied to this MIMO problem.

COEFFICIENT DIAGRAM METHOD IN MIMO APPLICATION: AN AEROSPACE CASE STUDY

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2005
Abstract The longitudinal control of the fighter with dual control surfaces is a typical MIMO control problem, where various modern control design techniques are employed. Although Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) is proven effective in SISO or SIMO control design, the concrete procedure for MIMO design is not established yet.

Coefficient diagram method based control for two interacting conical tank process

2017 Trends in Industrial Measurement and Automation (TIMA), 2017
All real word process are nonlinear in nature, control of such process is still challenging. Two interacting conical tank process is a one such nonlinear process. First order plus dead time model obtained from process. In this paper coefficient diagram method combined with PI controller.

Autopilot design for a missile with reaction-jet using coefficient diagram method

AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control Conference and Exhibit, 2001
Advanced guidance missiles employ blended control of aero-fin and reaction-jet to improve the guidance performance against highly maneuverable targets. The blended control requires multiple inputs and multiple outputs (MIMO) control system design, the design process is much complex than that of conventional aero-fin autopilot.
