Linear elliptic difference inequalities with random coefficients [PDF]
We prove various pointwise estimates for solutions of linear elliptic difference inequalities with random coefficients. These estimates include discrete versions of the maximum principle of Aleksandrov and Harnack inequalities and Hölder estimates of Krylov and Safonov for elliptic differential operators with bounded coefficients.

Are all meats substitutes? A basket‐and‐expenditure‐based approach
Abstract This study examines the relationship among animal‐based meat and plant‐based meat alternatives (PBMAs) using a basket‐and‐expenditure‐based choice experiment. In particular, we examine whether animal‐based meat products are substitutes or complements with PBMAs.

Coefficient Inequalities for certain Starlike and Convex functions
Summary: In this paper, we consider two Ma-Minda-type subclasses of starlike and convex functions associated with the normalized analytic function \(\varphi_{Ne}(z)=1+z-z^3/3\) that maps an open unit disk onto the Nephroid shaped bounded domain in the right-half of the complex plane.

Foreign labor, peer‐networking and agricultural efficiency in the Italian dairy sector
Abstract While the presence of immigrants in the agricultural sector is widely acknowledged, the empirical evidence on its economic consequences is lacking, especially from a microeconomic perspective. Using the Farm Accountancy Data Network panel data for Italian dairy farms in the period 2008–2018, the present study investigates the relationship ...

ABSTRACT This paper explores the convergence in on‐farm diversification strategies of agricultural holdings, between remote areas and more central ones. Using Italian farm‐level data, we explore the determinants of diversification strategies across farms.

Food Tastes in the United States: Convergence or Divergence?
ABSTRACT This study investigates how food consumption tastes have changed in recent decades across the United States. Using NielsenIQ data for over 77 million transactions, there is evidence of divergence in food tastes across regions from 2007 to 2016 and across households of different income, education, and race/ethnicity groups.

Inequalities for Some Coefficients of Univalent Functions [PDF]
Let \(S\) be the usual class of normalized analytic and univalent functions in the open unit disk. We write \(\log{f(z)\over z}=2\sum^\infty_{n=1} \gamma_nz^n\) \((f\in S)\). The well-known de Branges' theorem shows that \[ I_n= \sum^n_{k=1} (n-k+1) \left(k|\gamma_k |^2- {1\over k}\right)\leq 0 \quad\bigl(n \in\mathbb{N}: =\{1,2,3, \dots\};\;f\in S ...

The Power of Unity: Collective Action and Smallholder Agricultural Performance in West Africa
ABSTRACT We analyze the impact of collective action through farmer‐based organizations (FBOs) on smallholders' farm performance and income inequality in Ghana, Benin, The Gambia, and Mali. We find that FBO membership increases cereal yield in Ghana and The Gambia, legume yield in Mali, ruminant numbers in Benin and The Gambia, and total farm income in ...
