Poverty as an Obstacle for Travel: Domestic Tourism Activities in Spain
In basic terms, income inequality, one of the economic inequalities that branch from social inequality, is used to define the income gap among individuals.

This study employs a CFD model to simulate laser cutting of copper current collectors used for Li‐Ion battery production. This model predicts cut edge quality by assessing the influence of power, scanner speed, and foil thickness. Defects are classified and an optimal working area is found.

This study examines if enhancing ICT reduces inequality in 48 countries in Africa for the period 2004-2014. Three inequality indictors are used, namely, the: Gini coefficient, Atkinson index and Palma ratio.

Local Boundedness and Harnack Inequality for Solutions of Linear Nonuniformly Elliptic Equations [PDF]
We study local regularity properties for solutions of linear, nonuniformly elliptic equations. Assuming certain integrability conditions on the coefficient field, we prove local boundedness and Harnack inequality.

Four measurements of per-capita education expenditure are used to analyze its effect on income inequality at the county-level in Chile. The latter is quantified through the Gini coefficient, Theil index, and the S80/S20 and S90/S10 ratios.

Preparing Magnon–Photon Pairs in a Cavity–Magnon–Qubit System
By utilizing the photon blockade effect, hybrid magnon–photon quantum states are prepared in a cavity–magnon–qubit system. Through the analysis of correlation functions, the generated magnon–photon pairs are shown to exhibit high purity and strong correlations.

An operator-coefficients free Poincaré inequality [PDF]
We prove the following operator-coefficients free Poincar\'{e} inequality: $$|f(X)-E[f(X)]|_{2}\leq2|X|_{2}\|\widehat{\partial}_{X:B}[f(X)]\|_{\pi}, \quad f(X) \in \mathrm{dom}(\widehat{\partial}_{X:B}),$$ where $\|\cdot\|_{\pi}$ is the projective tensor norm.

Harnack Inequalities for SDEs with Multiplicative Noise and Non-regular Drift [PDF]
The log-Harnack inequality and Harnack inequality with powers for semigroups associated to SDEs with non-degenerate diffusion coefficient and non-regular time-dependent drift coefficient are established, based on the recent papers \cite{Flandoli, Zhang11}

Coefficient Control of Variational Inequalities
Within this chapter, we discuss control in the coefficients of an obstacle problem. Utilizing tools from H-convergence, we show existence of optimal solutions. First order necessary optimality conditions are obtained after deriving directional differentiability of the coefficient to solution mapping for the obstacle problem.

On Estimation of Inter-Regional Inequality [PDF]
Many publications on inter-regional inequality use weighting by region’s share in the national population in estimating an inequality index. This paper demonstrates that, first, such an approach is conceptually inconsistent, yielding a (very rough ...
