Nozzle Discharge Coefficient

2015
Four ASME (PTC 6) flow nozzles were manufactured together with upstream and downstream pipework in two pipe sizes. Throat and wall tappings were used. The flow nozzles were calibrated in water and in high-pressure nitrogen at 20 and 60 barg. The wall-tapping data are in excellent agreement with the discharge-coefficient equation in ISO 5167-3:2003: all

Discharge coefficient of subsurface weirs

Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Water Management, 2014
Experimental and numerical studies were performed to examine the relationship between the hydraulic properties and physical dimensions of a subsurface weir system and the discharge over it under steady-state conditions. Experimental modelling was based on a laboratory-scale physical sand-tank model, within which a subsurface dam and weir structure was

Discharge coefficients of diaphragms and nozzles

Measurement Techniques, 1959
1. The table of initial discharge coefficients of diaphragms should be corrected by taking the coefficient value 0.646 (instead of 0.645) for the 0.35 modulus. 2. The functional dependence of the initial discharge coefficient on the modulus of flow-contraction devices, represented by a polynomial of the 4th degree, yields deviations from

Calculation of the Townsend Discharge Coefficients and the Paschen Curve Coefficients

Contributions to Plasma Physics, 2007
AbstractThe determination of Paschen curve coefficients A and B and the first and second Townsend coefficient are discussed for the creation of gas discharges from extraordinary gasses. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

ِِDischarge Coefficient in Oblique Side Weirs

2007
Side weirs are flow diversion devices that are widely used in irrigation, drainage and urban sewage systems. The present study focuses on the investigation of the effect of oblique side weirs on the discharge coefficient of a side weir under subcritical flow condition in rectangular channels.

Discharge Coefficients of Chamfered Orifices and Nozzles

Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1948
REFERENCE has frequently been made to the increase in the discharge coefficient of chamfered orifices and nozzles, yet few investigations have been made to study these variations in detail. The experiments described in the following were carried out in an attempt to clear some of these points.
