Laboratory studies into hydraulic coefficient in curved planform labyrinth weir and piano key weir
In this paper, the discharge coefficient of piano key weirs is compared with that of curved planform labyrinth weirs. Results show that the discharge coefficient of piano key weirs is by 17.1% higher compared to that of curved planform labyrinth weirs ...

Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Discharge Coefficients of Oblique Weirs
Oblique weirs are those weirs placed at an angle with respect to the channel centerline. They can be used in canal applications where more discharge is needed, but there is limited freeboard. The discharge coefficients were determined for 54 different weirs by measuring total head for various flows over each weir. These weirs included sharp, half round

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

In the work reported herein, dipole‐engineered sulfonated carbon nanofibers enable conductive additives to actively regulate interphase formation in silicon anodes. Polar sulfonyl groups guide electrolyte decomposition to form a compact LiF‐rich interphase while promoting robust integration with silicon.

Experimental Evaluation of the Discharge Coefficient of a Centre-Pivot Roof Window [PDF]
Windows are a component of naturally ventilated buildings. The scientific knowledge of how to estimate of airflow rates through windows is limited, especially in the case of centre-pivot roof windows.

Discharge coefficient for trapezoidal side weir
The designed length of the rectangular side weirs sometimes becomes too long that makes it non-practical from the engineering point of view. In order to decrease the length of channel opening with the desired water height, this study focuses on applying ...

A molecular shielding strategy to convert “protein‐sticky” and “non‐tumor specific” clinical ICG dye, into a “low protein binding” and “tumor‐targeting” dye with prolonged blood circulation and renal clearance is described. These shielded ICGs demonstrate strong tumor accumulation and optimal tissue clearance, resulting in high tumor‐to‐background ...

Discharge coefficient of side weirs in curved channels
Side weirs are flow diversion devices commonly used in irrigation, land drainage and urban sewage systems. It is essential for hydraulic and environmental engineers involved in the design of side weirs to predict the discharge coefficient correctly. The aim of this study is to present an accurate equation for discharge coefficients along the bend of ...
