Gyroid Structured Globugraphite Carbon Foam With Hierarchical and Tailored Pore Size

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Secondary sacrificial templates were designed and printed to create a defined network within a porous carbon. Lattices thermally degrades during the sintering process. Lattices are imprinted into the ceramic template and transferred to the morphology of Globugraphite.

Heat transfer analysis for phase change materials (PCMs) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The heat transfer enhancement for phase change materials (PCMs) has received much attention nowadays, since most of PCMs have low thermal conductivities which prolong the charging and discharging processes.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

EVALUATION OF THE COEFFICIENT OF TEMPERATURE CONDUCTIVITY OF SULFUR CONCRETE

open access: yesВестник. Серия физическая, 2010
The coefficient of temperature conductivity of sulfur concrete out of the phase transference zone has been evaluated through the well known decision of the heat conductivity equation for spherical body and through the profiles of temperature measured ...

Heat Transfer Coefficient Between Spherical Particles in Low-Conducting Fluid

open access: yesComputation
Calculation of heat transfer in granular materials is an important task for many applications, from thermal management in electronics to exploring celestial soils. Usually, an effective thermal-conductivity model is employed to predict heat flux in unstructured granular media, such as a packed bed.

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.
