Coefficient of performance of multistage absorption cycles

International Journal of Refrigeration, 1987
Abstract A method is presented by which the coefficients of performance of advanced absorption cycles can be calculated very quickly if the efficiencies of single-stage heat pumps and heat transformers are known. The method provides detailed results for the heat input or output of the individual exchange units. These values can be used as a basis for

Performance of Thermoacoustic Refrigerators: Cooling Load and Coefficient of Performance

Heat Transfer: Volume 3, 2008
Thermoacoustic refrigeration is an environmentally safe refrigeration technology that has evolved over the past three decades [1–5]. The influence of working fluid on the performance of the thermoacoustic refrigerator (TAR) expressed in terms of the cooling load and the coefficient of performance is discussed in the paper.

Learning performance of coefficient-based regularized ranking

Neurocomputing, 2014
The regularized kernel methods for ranking problem have attracted increasing attention recently, which are usually based on the regularization scheme in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space. In this paper, we go beyond this framework by investigating the generalization ability of ranking with coefficient-based regularization.

Coefficient of performance of an ideal absorption cycle

Applied Energy, 1983
Abstract The conventional expression for the coefficient of performance (COP) of an ideal absorption cycle is misleading and a correct expression is derived. The deviation in the COP values from these two expressions increases with the increase in the difference in the absorber and condenser temperatures.

Coefficient of performance of Stirling refrigerators

European Journal of Physics, 2017
Stirling coolers transfer heat in or out of the working fluid during all four stages of their operation, and their coefficient of performance depends on whether the non-isothermal heat exchanges are performed reversibly or irreversibly. Both of these possibilities can in principle be arranged. Notably, if the working fluid is an ideal gas, the input of

Coefficient of Performance of Thermoelectric Cooling on Nanofluids

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
This paper reports on experimental comparisons of coefficient of performance (COP) of a thermoelectric coolingsystem which cooled the hot side of the TEC by water (wc), ethylene glycol (egc) and nanofluids (nfc) The nanofluids is composed of ethylene glycol with silver nano(35 nm).The TEC was composed of the TE cooling modules, heat exchanger, and the ...

On the Performance of a Test for Coefficient of Variation

Calcutta Statistical Association Bulletin, 1992
Approximate standard errors (s.e) of sample coefficient of variation (c.v.) are available in the literature (Kendall and Stuart, 1977; Serfting 1980). Using these s.e.'s a large sample test can be constructed to test for the specified value of population c.v. The test can also be justified on the principles of Wald test.

Performance comparison of constant coefficient and variable coefficient tracking filters in radar detection

16th Int'l Conf. Computer and Information Technology, 2014
In this paper comparison between constant coefficient and variable coefficient tracking filters for radar has been presented. αβγ filter and Kalman filter are discussed as instances of constant coefficient and variable coefficient filters respectively.

Significance of heat pump coefficient of performance

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Part II: Applications and Industry, 1959
This paper deals with the load aspects and economic aspects of three types of residential heat pump systems which employ supplementary heat sources. It contains illustrations of their load characteristics over a wide range of annual COP (coefficient of performance), depicts relationships of the relative costs to serve these loads from long-range and ...

Coefficient of Performance Computation of a Lecture Hall

2021
With improved living standards and rising ambient temperatures, human comfort is the most significant metric in the current environment. Electric air conditioning equipment is not recommended for large structures since it consumes a lot of electricity and has a short lifespan.
