Thermal expansion coefficients of NdBa2Cu3O7−δ

Physica C: Superconductivity, 1993
Abstract For epitaxy of high- T c superconductor (HTSC) the knowledge of thermal expansion coefficients is very important to master cracking and strain problems. In this paper, the thermal expansion coefficients of NdBa 2 Cu 3 O 7− δ (0.15⩽δ⩽0.60) were measured by means of neutron diffraction in the temperature range from room temperature ...

Thermal expansion coefficient of 3C–SiC

Applied Physics Letters, 1995
Theoretical results for the temperature dependence of the thermal expansion coefficient for 3C–SiC are reported using a phenomenological lattice dynamical theory in the quasiharmonic approximation. The linear thermal expansion coefficient α of 3C–SiC exhibits a variation with temperature much like that of the specific heat and, unlike other ...

Thermal Expansion Coefficient of KAP Crystals

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1973
We have measured the coefficient of thermal expansion of potassium acid phthalate crystals in the direction perpendicular to the cleavage planes. This is the direction applicable to x-ray diffraction with interplanar spacings of 13.3 Å. The measured value is 40.5 × 10−6 °C−1 with an estimated uncertainty of about ± 5%.

Effect of graphene nano-sheets content and sintering time on the microstructure, coefficient of thermal expansion, and mechanical properties of (Cu /WC –TiC-Co) nano-composites

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2018
The effect of nano-graphene sheets on the thermal expansion and mechanical properties of Cu/WC –TiC-Co composite was studied. Five samples with 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 1 wt. % graphene were prepared. 10 wt.

Thermal Expansion Coefficient of Boron Monophosphide

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1976
Thermal expansion of BP epitaxially-grown on Si{111} and Si{100} substrates has been investigated by using a high-temperature X-ray diffractometer. The coefficient α varies from (4.0±0.3)×10-6 to (6.2±0.3)×10-6 K-1 in the tempeature range of 400–800 K. The unit-cell dimension of BP on Si{111} is about 0.1 % larger than that of BP on Si{100}.

Thermal expansion coefficient of alkali metals

physica status solidi (b), 1983
AbstractThe thermal expansion of alkali metals is investigated using a local Heine‐Abarenkov model potential in the perturbational method. The mode Grüneisen parameters and the temperature‐dependence of both the mean Grüneisen constant and the thermal expansion coefficient are calculated, and the obtained results are quantitatively in good agreement ...

Thermal Expansion Coefficient of Monolayer Molybdenum Disulfide Using Micro-Raman Spectroscopy.

Nano letters (Print), 2019
Atomically thin two-dimensional (2D) materials have shown great potential for applications in nanoscale electronic and optical devices. A fundamental property of these 2D flakes that needs to be well characterized is the thermal expansion coefficient ...
