Peridynamics for Predicting Thermal Expansion Coefficient of Graphene
2019 IEEE 69th Electronic Components and Technology Conference (ECTC), 2019This study presents an investigation of thermal fluctuations of a graphene layer by using peridynamics (PD). The stored energy in the graphene layer due to the fluctuations is expressed in a quadratic form in terms of the stiffness matrix under von Karman assumptions.

Thermal Expansion Coefficient of Binary Semiconductors
Crystal Research and Technology, 2001The linear thermal expansion coefficient of tetrahedrally coordinated A II B VI and A III B V semiconductors has been calculated using plasmon energy data. A simple relation between the bond length and plasmon energy has been derived. The calculated values of thermal expansion coefficient and bond length have been compared with the experimental ...

Experimental study on thermal expansion coefficient of composite multi-layered flaky gun propellants
Composites Part B: Engineering, 2019Improving the burning progressivity is an effective approach to improve the muzzle velocities of projectile of a gun. Composite multi-layered flaky gun propellant is a combination of a fast-burning inner layer and a slow-burning outer layer.

Thermal expansion coefficients of cracked laminates
Composites Science and Technology, 1988Abstract Effective thermal expansion coefficients of cross-ply laminates containing many intralaminar ply cracks are evaluated as functions of ply thermomechanical properties and crack density. The method employed is applicable to any cracked laminate if internal stress fields due to mechanical loads are known.

Calculation of thermal expansion coefficient of glasses
Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1976Abstract Thermal expansion of oxide glasses has been theoretically studied to derive an equation for the calculation of the thermal expansion coefficient of glass from chemical composition. Gruneisen's constant may be correlated with packing density and a ratio of cation-to-anion radius and, considering the packing density and dissociation energy per

Thermal expansion coefficients of laminar composites
Polymer Mechanics, 1972The conclusion of [1], according to which the coefficient of linear expansion of a laminar composite in a direction orthogonal to the laminations may exceed the greater of the coefficients of linear expansion of the components, has been experimentally verified. The experiments were performed on laminated metal-plastics composed of alternating layers of

Thermal Expansion Coefficients of Manganese Fluoride
Physical Review, 1959The expansivity ($\frac{\ensuremath{\Delta}l}{{l}_{273.2}}$) and linear thermal expansion coefficient [${l}^{\ensuremath{-}1}{(\frac{\mathrm{dl}}{\mathrm{dT}})}_{p}$] have been measured for the $a$ and $c$ axes of manganese fluoride. There is a marked anomaly in the linear thermal expansion coefficients at the N\'eel temperature; the N\'eel temperature

Coefficient of thermal expansion of stacked auxetic and negative thermal expansion laminates
physica status solidi (b), 2010AbstractAnalytical expressions for the in‐plane and out‐of‐plane coefficients of thermal expansion for laminates with isotropic laminas are presented herein based on (i) zero net force on the laminate edges, (ii) equal displacement of the lamina edges, and (iii) Hooke's law in three dimensions.
