Associations of Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Activity With Frailty Over Five Years of Follow‐up
Objective To evaluate whether rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease activity is associated with frailty both in cross‐section and longitudinally. Methods Participants within the Veterans Affairs Rheumatoid Arthritis (VARA) registry enrolled from 2003 to 2022 were included.

Objective To explore whether higher body fat and lower lean mass are associated with greater pain and worse patient‐reported physical function in individuals with hip osteoarthritis (OA). A secondary aim was to examine whether pain and patient‐reported physical function differ according to four body composition profiles: high body fat, low lean mass ...

Objective Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is a cornerstone therapy in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), but the weight‐based dosing does not account for clinical factors that can introduce individual variability in drug metabolism and clearance. We leveraged longitudinal data from a prospective SLE cohort to identify clinical factors that predict ...

Objective To evaluate how modifiable psychosocial factors and fatigue relate to physical functioning in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods In this cross‐sectional study of two demographically distinct cohorts (Approaches to Positive, Patient‐Centered Experiences of Aging with Lupus [APPEAL] and California Lupus Epidemiology Study

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

TEXT-BOOKS of statistics generally cite the coefficient of variation (or variability) as a measure of relative variability. While the coefficient (abbreviated to CV) is usually defined by the equation CV = 100/AM (which is the form to which these notes refer), the more general definition is of a specified measure of dispersion expressed as a percentage

On a variational approach to the Soret coefficient
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2006In this paper, a variational approach to the Soret coefficient initiated by Kempers [J. Chem. Phys. 90, 6541 (1989)] is critically revisited. We show that the physical coherence of the whole procedure leads to a very peculiar choice of the type of constraint one can select to mimic the nonequilibrium stationary state.

On the Performance of a Test for Coefficient of Variation
Calcutta Statistical Association Bulletin, 1992Approximate standard errors (s.e) of sample coefficient of variation (c.v.) are available in the literature (Kendall and Stuart, 1977; Serfting 1980). Using these s.e.'s a large sample test can be constructed to test for the specified value of population c.v. The test can also be justified on the principles of Wald test.

On the coefficient of variation of the - and -classes
Statistics & Probability Letters, 1996Abstract The coefficient of variation of a life distribution is no more than 1 if it belongs to the L -class and no less than 1 if it belongs to the L -class. However, there are nonexponential distributions in each of these classes that have coefficient of variation equal to 1.
