Locomotion by Epiactis prolifera (Coelenterata: Actiniaria)
Marine Biology, 1976Overlay maps were used to study locomotion by the externally brooding actinian Epiactis prolifera Verrill, 1869, in the rocky intertidal zone near Bodega Bay, California, USA. A greater proportion of non-brooding individuals moved than did brooding ones.

An interaction between the alcyonarian octocoral Nephthea brassica Kukenthal, 1904 and the scleractinian Acropora hyacinthus Dana was photographed and the assemblage collected at Rib Reef (18°15′S; 146°45′E), Central Region of the Great Barrier Reef, in September 1980.

Factors effecting manubrium-regeneration in hydromedusae (Coelenterata)
Wilhelm Roux's Archives of Developmental Biology, 19761. Umbrellar fragments of the leptomedusaCampanularia johnstoni with or without parts of the radial canal demonstrate a gradient in the potential for manubrium regeneration and in regeneration time. 2. Implantation experiments exclude the manubrium as a source of inhibition or induction in the regeneration of another manubrium.

Microstructure of Rugosan Skeleton (Coelenterata): ABSTRACT
AAPG Bulletin, 1970Scanning electron and petrographic studies of Thamnophyllum, Pachyphyllum, Tabulophyllum, and Charactophyllum indicate that the Rugosa have much in common with the Scleractinia in terms of formation and structure of their exoskeleton. Possibly all rugosan septa are trabecular in construction, as lamellar structures are secondary, and fibro-normal ...
