An evaluation of the performance of IEEE 802.11a and 802.11g wireless local area networks in a corporate office environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In recent years there has been considerable interest in the development of standards for wireless local area networks. In particular, IEEE's 802.11a and 802.11g both employ coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (COFDM) but operate in different

Performance evaluation of channel estimation techniques in a multiple antenna OFDM system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A number of pilot-based channel estimation techniques are investigated for a multiple antenna system using the zero-forcing algorithm. The techniques are tested in typical indoor and outdoor (vehicular) channels.

Enhancing MB-OFDM throughput with dual circular 32-QAM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) and Dual Carrier Modulation (DCM) are currently used as the modulation schemes for Multiband Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MB-OFDM) in the ECMA-368 defined Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radio platform.

Performance of COFDM using turbo codes [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering Solutions for the Next Millennium. 1999 IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (Cat. No.99TH8411), 2003
In this paper, we discuss and present simulation results for the performances of COFDM systems using turbo codes and operating in a mobile radio environment. Results show that the echo power has a much stronger influence than the guard time interval or echo delay. This scheme is shown to be an excellent solution for transmission over bandlimited mobile

Frame delay and loss analysis for video transmission over time-correlated 802.11A/G channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This paper presents simulation results for the transmission of unicast MAC frames over 802.11a/g. Fading channel models at various Doppler frequencies are developed to generate time- correlated SNR waveforms.
