Integrated Ultrasonic Platform for Bioelectronic Control through Biological Barriers Based on Metasurface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A metasurface‐enabled ultrasonic platform achieves precise multi‐focal control through biological barriers, real‐time physiology‐driven modulation, and simultaneous wireless power and data transmission. By unifying wavefront engineering, closed‐loop feedback, and acoustic communication, this work establishes key enabling technologies toward scalable ...

Spectrum sharing via hybrid cognitive players evaluated by an M/D/1 queuing model

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2017
We consider a cognitive wireless network in which users adopt a spectrum sharing strategy based on cooperation constraints. The majority of cognitive radio schemes bifurcate the role of players as either cooperative or non-cooperative.

Green Radio: Radio Techniques to Enable Energy Efficient Wireless Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Recent analysis by manufacturers and network operators has shown that current wireless networks are not very energy efficient, particularly the base stations by which terminals access services from the network.

Neuromorphic Near‐Sensor and In‐Sensor Computing Enabled by Next‐Generation Material‐Based Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This Review presents a structural framework that classifies neuromorphic sensing into near‐sensor and in‐sensor architectures, clarifying physical coupling between sensing and computation. The framework connects neural and synaptic device functions with recent advances in optical, mechanical, and chemical sensing, compares energy consumption and ...

An Energy-Efficient Game-Theory-Based Spectrum Decision Scheme for Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks

open access: yesSensors, 2016
A cognitive radio sensor network (CRSN) is a wireless sensor network in which sensor nodes are equipped with cognitive radio. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient game-theory-based spectrum decision (EGSD) scheme for CRSNs to prolong the network

Photonic‐Enabled Energy‐Efficient Transparent Neuromorphic Computing Devices: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transparent photonic neuromorphic computing devices merge optics and brain‐inspired computing to overcome von Neumann bottlenecks with ultrafast, low‐energy processing. By exploiting transparent oxides, 2D materials, phase‐change materials, and hybrid heterostructures, these platforms enable photonic synapses, memory, and logic for see‐through edge ...

TDP‐43 Aggregation: The Healthy‐Toxic Balance of the Prion‐Like Domain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TDP‐43 function relies on a delicate balance between reversible phase‐separated states and irreversible aggregation. Under physiological conditions, TDP‐43 forms dynamic droplets and oligomers that support normal cellular functions. In pathological contexts, this balance shifts toward aberrant aggregation, leading to toxic species.
