Coherence in a light beam has the potential to serve as a degree of freedom for manipulating the beam. In this work, the self-focusing property of a partially coherent beam with a non-uniform correlation structure propagating in a non-linear medium is ...

Pairing versus quarteting coherence length [PDF]
We systematically analyse the coherence length in even-even nuclei. The pairing coherence length in the spin-singlet channel for the effective density dependent delta (DDD) and Gaussian interaction is estimated. We consider in our calculations bound states as well as narrow resonances. It turns out that the pairing gaps given by the DDD interaction are

Experimental test of decoherence theory using electron matter waves
A controlled decoherence environment is studied experimentally by free electron interaction with semiconducting and metallic plates. The results are compared with physical models based on decoherence theory to investigate the quantum-classical transition.

First, we have generalized the notion of Franhoufer diffraction of temporal coherent light from a single slit to the case of arbitrary n-slits. The diffraction pattern is investigated for different values of recently (Koushki and Alavi, 2019) introduced ...

Transverse horizontal spatial coherence in shallow water [PDF]
Since the advent of large-aperture array processing, more and more attention has been paid to the sound field correlation, which has fundamental limit to the array gain of spatial coherent signal processing.

In-plane p-wave coherence length in iron-based superconductors
High-temperature superconductivity in iron-based layered compounds discovered by Hosono group (Kamihara et al. 2006 J. Am. Chem. Soc. 128 10012) is fascinating physical phenomenon which still has many unanswered questions.

Decoherence of Excitons in Multichromophore Systems: Thermal Line Broadening and Destruction of Superradiant Emission [PDF]
We study the temperature-dependent dephasing rate of excitons in chains of chromophores, accounting for scattering on static disorder as well as acoustic phonons in the host matrix.

When analyzing the transmission characteristics of LEDs for long-distance lighting and communication applications, the light field is commonly assumed to be fully incoherent. However, in reality, the LED light source emits partially coherent light with a
