Novel Multiple-Image Encryption Scheme Based on Coherent Beam Combining and Equal Modulus Decomposition

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
In our research, we propose a novel asymmetric multiple-image encryption method using a conjugate Dammann grating (CDG), which is based on the coherent beam combining (CBC) principle.

From attosecond to zeptosecond coherent control of free-electron wave functions using semi-infinite light fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Light-electron interaction in empty space is the seminal ingredient for free-electron lasers and also for controlling electron beams to dynamically investigate materials and molecules. Pushing the coherent control of free electrons by light to unexplored

Hybrid Beamforming via the Kronecker Decomposition for the Millimeter-Wave Massive MIMO Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Despite its promising performance gain, the realization of mmWave massive MIMO still faces several practical challenges. In particular, implementing massive MIMO in the digital domain requires hundreds of RF chains matching the number of antennas ...

Machine learning phase control of filled-aperture coherent beam combining: principle and numerical demonstration

open access: yesHigh Power Laser Science and Engineering
Machine learning has already shown promising potential in tiled-aperture coherent beam combining (CBC) to achieve versatile advanced applications. By sampling the spatially separated laser array before the combiner and detuning the optical path delays ...

Combining high pressure and coherent diffraction: a first feasibility test

open access: yes, 2009
We present a first experiment combining high pression and coherent X-ray diffraction. By using a dedicated diamond anvil cell, we show that the degree of coherence of the X-ray beam is preserved when the X-ray beam passes through the diamond cell.

Coherent beam combining of optical vortices

open access: yesOptics Letters
We experimentally demonstrate the power scaling of optical vortices using the coherent beam combining technique, encompassing topological charges ranging from ℓ = 1 to ℓ = 5 realized on the basis of a Yb-doped fiber short-pulsed laser system. The combining efficiency varies from 83.2 to 96.9% depending on the topological charge and beam pattern quality
