Characterizing the Set of Coherent Lower Previsions with a Finite Number of Constraints or Vertices [PDF]

open access: yesCoRR, 2010
The standard coherence criterion for lower previsions is expressed using an infinite number of linear constraints. For lower previsions that are essentially defined on some finite set of gambles on a finite possibility space, we present a reformulation of this criterion that only uses a finite number of constraints. Any such lower prevision is coherent

Fluorinated Amphiphilic Dendrimer to Improve PET Imaging of Cancer. [PDF]

open access: yesSmall
Fluorination of a self‐assembling dendrimer nanosystem reduced liver retention, accelerated renal clearance and improved biodistribution, ultimately enhancing tumor uptake and enabling more sensitive tumor detection by positron emission tomography (PET).

VHF coherent radar signals from the E region ionosphere and the relationship to electron drift velocity and ion acoustic velocity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The Scandinavian Twin Auroral Radar Experiment (STARE) coherent radar system measures the Doppler shifts caused by ∼1 m plasma waves in the high-latitude E region ionosphere.

Coherent lower and upper conditional previsions defined by Hausdorff inner and outer measures to represent the role of conscious and unconscious thought in human decision making [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence, 2021
AbstractThe model of coherent lower and upper conditional previsions, based on Hausdorff inner and outer measures, is proposed to represent the preference orderings and the equivalences, respectively assigned by the conscious and unconscious thought in human decision making under uncertainty.

Coherent and convex fair pricing and variability measures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper, we show that coherent upper and lower previsions as well as coherent risk measures are only meaningful under the assumption that one starts with initial wealth being constantly 0.

Lower- versus higher-order nonclassicalities for a coherent superposed quantum state

open access: yes, 2023
A coherent state is defined conventionally in different ways such as a displaced vacuum state, an eigenket of annihilation operator or as an infinite dimensional Poissonian superposition of Fock states.

On a geometric representation of probability laws and of a coherent prevision-function according to subjectivistic conception of probability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We distinguish the two extreme aspects of the logic of certainty by identifying their corresponding structures into a linear space. We extend probability laws P formally admissible in terms of coherence to random quantities.
